What are you going to do?
As a battery swapper, you ensure that our electric vehicles are always roadworthy. This means that, as the job title reveals, you exchange empty batteries for full ones. You start from a hub in your region. There you pick up the charged batteries and drive a Hoppy van past our e-bikes and e-steps for a battery change. You get access to an app on your phone to see all the vehicles. You also go to the vehicles that have fallen over or are parked incorrectly, and it may happen that you do a light repair. Think of tightening a side mirror or fixing a standard. Don’t you have 2 right hands? Don’t worry. If you encounter more serious damage, you can register the vehicle for a major repair with our technicians.
OK, to sum up:
- On the street you exchange the empty for full batteries;
- You report a vehicle for repair when you spot damage, or you fix it yourself if you can;
- You are tactically moving the vehicles;
- You put the empty batteries back on the charger in the hub when you return;

You fit the bill perfectly if:
- You have held your driver’s license for at least 2 years. You have a big line if you have spent these years without damage;
- The Dutch or English language is no problem for you;
- You like to work flexibly. Our working hours are from Monday to Sunday between 06:00 and 23:00;
- You don’t mind specifying availability one weekend day per week;
- You are ambitious for a leadership role. We are always looking for new talent and you can go in many directions within Hoppy!
