What is The Fietserij?

De Fietserij is part of Stroom vzw, a social employment initiative that offers job opportunities to people who face challenges entering the labor market. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, participants learn valuable skills in bicycle repair. By the end of their journey, they’re better prepared to find stable and meaningful employment.

How does our partnership work?

When a Hoppy bike needs repairs, we bring it to The Fietserij. Once there, the team carefully inspects the bike to identify any issues. Most of the time, these are minor fixes—like a broken pedal or a jammed lock. After diagnosing the problem, they get to work, ensuring the bike is back on the road as soon as possible. We’re very pleased with our partnership with Hoppy — it’s a collaboration that just works.” – Tom Caloets, De Fietserij.
